All are sure to work up an appetite and leave you feeling refreshed and exhilarated.
Golf
Golfing is a treasured sport in the south west of Scotland. With a mixture of Championship to Links and Municipal Courses that attract golfers of all abilities, the area ensures variety and an almost endless list of course choice.
Fishing
The region offers up some fantastic fishing for guests whether it be loch, sea or river fishing. After a successful days fishing we are happy to oblige any requests from guests to prepare and serve the day's catch for dinner!
Walking & Cycling
Walking and cycling routes in the area cover all kinds of terrain and accommodates all abilities. There are long distance hikes, garden paths in great country estates, rambles by rivers and lochs, and peaks over 300 metres to climb. Woodland walks from Cosses offer sights of deer, pheasant, hares, buzzards and rare woodland flowers such as orchids.
Bird Watching
We are very keen on birds at Cosses Country House, and this is a great base for bird watching in the area. There is the bird sanctuary at Ballantrae and the coast provides many opportunities to watch diving gannets and other sea birds. Ailsa Craig is a nesting site for Puffins, Razorbills, Guillemots and Fulmer.
