Cycling & Biking
Fabulous cycling and mountain biking from Cosses Country House – many local tracks and trails. Organised trails such as the 7 stanes trails – with the sheer variety and challenge of landscape, from green trails to black runs. The International Mountain Biking Association states that Scotland was designed with mountain biking in mind!
Golfing is a treasured sport in the south west of Scotland. With a mixture of Championship to Links and Municipal Courses that attract golfers of all abilities, the area ensures variety and an almost endless list of course choice.
We are very keen on birds at Cosses Country House, and this is a great base for bird watching in the area. There is the bird sanctuary at Ballantrae and the coast provides many opportunities to watch diving gannets and other sea birds. Ailsa Craig is a nesting site for Puffins, Razorbills, Guillemots and Fulmer.
Ayrshire has a spectacular coastline and provides excellent access to sheltered waters. From windsurfing to kite surfing and sea kayaking to paddle boarding, there is something for everyone on the Ayrshire coast in south west Scotland.
