Having just had a couple of fun filled days at the Fringe in Edinburgh (my first experience!), I still had that wonderful feeling of returning to one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland, as I drove home along the ocean road, back to Ballantrae. As you reach the brow of the hill before descending to Turnberry, Ailsa Craig and Arran come into view across the sea and then the road meanders along the coast line with the sea shimmering on your right and hills and dales on your left.
This is part of the route that the Ayrshire Coastal path follows. It is a fabulous time of year to come walking or cycling in Scotland. Our Wolsey Lodge guests arriving today are coming from Arran and cycling around the Isle of Cumbrae
On the way here.
