Guests have borrowed Cosses bikes and gone cycling on this lovely warm sunny morning. Their journey takes them along the old Roman road through Heronsford to Colmonell passing the ruins of Craigneil Castle where one of the Kennedies was beheaded! It worth stopping at the Boar’s Head pub in Colmonell for a refreshment. Continue towards Ballantrae down the other side of the Stinchar Valley. You can stop and climb Knockdolian with it’s breathtaking views out to sea showing Ailsa Craig, Arran, the Mull of Kintyre, Ireland and inland, in the distance the Merrick hills can be seen.
